Happy New Year! ... Chinese New Year... ? No?

Oh, never mind. Hai everyone! How y'all doing? So far 2009 has been a mixed bag for me, art-wise. Been lacking the inspiration and creative energy to start ( or complete ) any original paintings, so I've mostly been colouring line-art by others. At least until recently - Been looking at a lot of speed-paintings and concept art, in particular some stuff done for the Diablo game series, and now I'm itching to do more speed-painting myself. It's kinda hard, because I still lack experience and confidence at this particular approach to art. It feels much more natural, though, and is plain more fun to do. With my regular way of creating artwork, I waste so much time doing line-work and masking etc., and it seems very redundant and inefficient. For a speed-paint, I just set up an empty "canvas" and go wild. Anyhow, I'll see what I can come up with... Content-wise, it will probably be mostly Fantasy themed, including the occasional mythical beast and the like... 'tis all, for now.
